hey friends! if you have a twitter account and a couple of seconds, can you please do me a favor? orlando, florida is in the running to win an epic diamond jubilee street party from virgin airlines! i live within driving distance of orlando, and let me tell you, it would be one massive party if we won. orlando hosts a guy fawkes bonfire night each year, and last year’s event had nearly 3,000 expats & anglophiles in attendance!
so, if you can do it before midnight, i’d really appreciate it if you’d tweet @VirginAtlantic with the hashtag #RoyalTreatment and tell them you want them to pick orlando. if orlando gets the party i will definitely be going, and you can expect lots of photos! the contest ends at midnight tonight. thanks in advance!! :)
i’m loving all the diamond jubilee celebratory stuff on my dash lately! do any of my followers have plans to celebrate? i’m thinking i ought to have a little party myself, or a special tea at least!

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee
why do i have to live in the us, where they won’t ship most of this stuff? and why does half of it have to be out of stock? and why does it cost nearly $50 to ship anything from there to the us, anyway?? *sigh*
(i have to give credit to noroomforthepresent for inspiring my lust, by the way - she posted a photo of/link to the box of fudge, which i followed and which ultimately led to my current state of despair.)
I saw the Queen today, and I took these pictures c:
This is my hometown of Leicester! c:
